Why do we need Material Management?
We need to understand the complete flow of inventory method. The Materials Requirements Planning is led by a procurement proposal when the inventory is triggered by shortage and we have Consumption Based Planning which forecasts by past usage and consumption. These are essential modules which help in building the business.
Several Phases of Process Flow
In KBS Training Institute we teach the process flow of the sub-modules with the complete life cycle of the material. In this SAP MM Online Training, there are seven phases of the MM process flow.
1. Requirements Determination – Here the materials planning can be MRP or CBP and they help in creating a better perspective to start the need of material purchase.
2. Source Determination– It is mandatory to know the sources of the product and its production services. There are suppliers, vendors with whom we need to deal and then there is economic structure which affects factors like sourcing of materials, guarantee of the materials. This helps in reducing the overheads and the quality.
3. Selection of Vendor and Comparison of Quotations – This feature helps the user by putting him in the selection and rejection of quotes based on needs. They can also manipulate price structures then accurately choose the best prices.
4. Purchase Order Process –After the quotation has been finalized, the user needs to create a purchase order. This online training has been developed in such a way which automatically generates purchase orders by using the information from quotation and sending itto the suppliers.
5. Purchase Order Track -Keeping track of the purchase orders which have been sent to suppliers can be monitored automatically. It also helps in creating a database of the purchase orders the industry sent to suppliers.
6. Goods received and Inventory Management – The supplier that delivers goods according to the purchase order maintains a receipt confirmed based on the purchase order.
7. Verification of Invoice -Purchase order should match the invoice generated to avoid discrepancies.
